MAHTNMatters

February 2025

February is nature’s quiet turning point, where winter’s grip begins to loosen, and the first whispers of spring emerge. Though the landscape may still seem bare and cold, subtle signs of life start to peek through—the swelling of buds on trees, the softening of frozen ground, and the early calls of birds seeking mates. It’s a time of quiet anticipation, reminding us that even in the stillness, the cycles of renewal are always in motion, promising brighter days ahead.

Please join us for our next COP virtual meeting

on HT/TH work with the Elder Community

Our next session will be on 2/26/25 and we will continue to schedule the COP on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7.00pm.

For our next COP, will have a short exploration of what the world of AI might offer us in our HT work. Is it a Pandora’s box, a toolbox, or something else? We will do a quick survey of existing AI models and then move into generating ideas for activities and gardening. Feel free to send any areas or types of activities you would like to explore and we will set a selected few up for AI generation. If you have used AI in your work, let us know and we will work it into an "AI"ce Breaker!

This forum on HT/TH work with the Elder Community, across the Continuum of Care, offers an inspiring and valuable opportunity for professionals in the field, students, and others, to share topics of mutual interest. The diversity of perspectives and experiences leads to thought provoking discussion, and practical suggestions for programming and client interactions.

For more information about the COP contact Fred Ellman at fred@ongrowingmindfulness.com

Monthly HT Theme: Evergreen Hearts

Evergreen Hearts is a fitting theme, celebrating the enduring nature of love, much like the evergreen trees that stay vibrant through February’s frost. It symbolizes love's ability to remain steadfast and warm, even during life’s coldest or quietest seasons, reminding us that true connection, like nature, can thrive year-round.
