MAHTN offers a variety of opportunities to learn, connect, and grow within the horticultural therapy community. We host informative webinars, facilitate virtual Community of Practice meetings, provide exclusive member-only demonstrations, organize an enriching Annual Conference, and arrange site visits to inspiring horticultural therapy/therapeutic horticulture programs. These events are designed to support education, collaboration, and professional development throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

    Please join us as we celebrate National Horticultural Therapy Week at the New York Botanical Gardens! 

    The agenda includes learning about updates to the NYBG Therapeutic Horticulture Certificate Program, presentations on diverse & innovative programs, and, of course, time to catch up with old & new friends and colleagues.

    This FREE event is open to those involved in TH/HT and anyone interested in learning more about using plants, gardening, and nature as a therapeutic medium.

    Enter the New York Botanical Gardens at the Mosholu Gate, 2900 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, NY 10458. You will be directed to the Watson Building - signs will lead you to Room 232.

With a theme of Flourishing in Nature: Cultivating Nourishment, Resilience and Joy, our 2025 conference brought together members from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for a day of learning, connecting, and experiencing Horticultural Therapy with hands-on activities!   • Greens Do Good Program & Farm Tour: April 26, 2025, Hackensack, NJ 07601
A tour of Greens Do Good with MAHTN member and Workforce Development Coordinator Stefan Livermore. We explored the world of hydroponic farming and its HT/TH applications.

GDG is an indoor hydroponic farm providing work-based learning to young adults on the autism spectrum. Their mission is to transform how communities source healthy produce while promoting neurodiversity in the workplace by providing meaningful job training and employment for teens and adults with autism.
