Why Become a MAHTN Member

MAHTN is a group of practicing and aspiring horticultural therapists in the Mid-Atlantic region (NY, PA & NJ) who are avidly and actively dedicated to expanding the acceptance of horticultural therapy as a recognized therapeutic and rehabilitative discipline.

Membership in MAHTN enables us to do this through:

  • Professional development & networking
  • Discounted registration for Annual Conference
  • Email member updates
  • HT site visits
  • Job/internship postings
  • Exclusive access to HT tools & resources

MAHTN's extremely popular member meetings are held quarterly. Each meeting typically includes a variety of informative presentations on topics related to HT, a site visit, HT activity demonstrations, and, of course, time for networking with colleagues. Some of our recent in-person venues include:

  • Allegro School, Cedar Knolls, NJ
  • Tiptonbrook Farm, Malvern, PA
  • New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY
  • Variety Club Camp, Worcester, PA
  • Well-Sweep Herb & Native Plants Farm, Port Murray, NJ
  •  Foulkeways Retirement Community, Gwyned, PA
