Join us for a special MAHTN event on Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 p.m., as Betty Ann Galway, Nationally Certified Floral Designer, demonstrates how to create a festive floral centerpiece that can be modified for the many celebrations between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.  Be inspired to create your own centerpieces and/or adapt this floral arrangement for use with various client populations.  

Betty Ann has a true passion for flowers and sharing this joy with others.  She has taught classes through the American Horticultural Society, and her floral interpretations of the arts have been displayed at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. In July 2019 she was inducted into the AIFD (American Institute of Floral Design, and in September 2021 became an AFID Certified Evaluator and Judge.  She instructs many floral design classes each year in Northern VA and at the Norfolk Botanical Garden, where she retired after 13 years as the Adult Education Director.  In 2005 she launched the Floral Design Certificate Program at the garden -- the only such program on the southern east coast.  

This event has a fee of $10 for MAHTN members and $15 for non members.  Registration for this event will close on November 18 and logistical details will be sent out one day prior to the event.  Any questions should be sent to Jan Lane (jan.p.lane@gmail.com).
